During the week of January 22-26, 2018 the Naugatuck Public Schools will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge (GKC). The Great Kindness Challenge is an international proactive and positive bullying prevention initiative that improves school climate and increases student engagement by spreading kindness. The Great Kindness Challenge is one week devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible. Anyone willing to participate in the challenge is provided with a checklist of kind acts to complete in order to show the world that kindness matters. More information and checklists will be provided soon.

Superintendent Locke and the Board of Education approved the week to be a K-12 district wide initiative and we would love for the entire town to participate as well. Mayor Hess has even agreed to proclaim the week Great Kindness Week in Naugatuck!

To support our kindness activities, we have created awesome kindness shirts that we are selling as a fundraiser for this event and we are also accepting donations as well. We would greatly appreciate your participation and support. Shirts will be available for purchase until December 28th at:

Thank you!!!!
