DATE: Wednesday – June 14 (Raindate: Thursday– June 15)
TIME: 6:00 PM

Tickets are not needed for the outdoor ceremony.

All students will however be issued 2 tickets that will be valid for the indoor (bad weather) ceremony if needed. Those tickets will be issued at the final rehearsal Wednesday morning-June 14th.

Every attempt will be made to have an outdoor ceremony. If the weather forecast calls for a light rain with no thunder/lightning, we will hold graduation outdoors. In this event, please dress appropriately and bring umbrellas, in order to be comfortable during the outdoor ceremony.

If there are more severe weather conditions predicted with thunder/lightning, we will postpone the ceremony until Thursday- June 15th. The decision to postpone will be made by 2:00 p.m. We will notify families on our website and through school messenger if weather conditions cause us to implement any aspect of this inclement weather plan.

In the unlikely event that it rains on Thursday as well, we will hold graduation indoors. Students will receive two tickets for entry into the main gymnasium.

On-site parking for graduation is extremely limited. Graduates and their guests are encouraged to use off-site parking and shuttle bus service to and from Naugatuck High School.

Parking and shuttles are free of charge. Shuttle buses will be running from the General DataComm parking lot (6 Rubber Avenue). The shuttles will begin to run at 5:00PM until the start of ceremony at 6:00PM and return to the parking lot starting at 7:00PM until 8:00PM.

Off-site parking will also be available at the upper parking lot located on Millville Avenue. You will need to walk down the path to the football field.

Again, this year one senior will be selected to deliver the Senior Speech at graduation (in addition to the Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Class Essayist) Students who are interested in doing this, should note these instructions:

·         Interested students should write the speech they would like to deliver and submit it by email to Mrs. Saam by 2:00 PM on June 1.

·         The content of the speech should be reflective and positive in tone.

·         The length of the speech should not exceed 2 minutes.

·         If chosen, you must agree to deliver the approved speech with no changes.

·         Each student’s speech will be read by a panel of staff members.

·         The criteria for selection will be based on content and message.

·          Please email speeches to:
